The Filipino Canadian Construction Society (FCCS), from it’s inception in 2006, is now gaining momentum and has continued to attract attention from the public and various individuals who wish to engage the services of its members, seek advice in variety of subjects; be it construction, professional and technical services, immigration, job referrals, job hunting, mentoring, and networking.
The success of this Society is based on the efforts, dedication and cooperation of every member. The goal to bring together the talents and skills of Filipino Canadians to be known by the construction industry and community is growing. Soon, the Canadian Construction industry will fully realize that there is a huge pool of talents from Filipino Canadian professionals which they can rely on.
During our induction of officers, Mr. Philip Hocstein - ICBA President, said, he needs our help to lobby with the government to bring more skilled workers to Canada because of the great prospect of economic recovery. We who are already here, has the biggest opportunity. This is a big encouragement for all members and their families that soon, the problem of unemployment will disappear. I therefore encourage all members to do their share and continue to contribute their talents and skills spreading the works of the society.
There are plenty of challenges ahead of us especially the downturn in the economy, where most of the members were affected. But with the continued support, cooperation and determination of every member, slowly we can overcome these challenges and convert it into a positive situation. In this coming year 2010, let us work together, and help one another to make this happen. I hope and pray that this year will a more progressive year for all of us.
Thank you all once again, and hope for your continued patronage and support.
